Our Groups

We have been very lucky and finally we have a place to call home! Our very own hub which will enable us to offer much more areas of support to our community.

We all know that professional services are at an all time high, the impact of covid on mental health is catastrophic but I ask everyone to remember that before covid hundreds, thousands of individuals have lived and struggled for many years with mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression with many more living every day with life long chronic mental illness such as schizophrenia, Bi-polar, PTSD for example which can require very intense support.

We also have those who live with suicidal ideation fighting every second of everyday to stay alive and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide. The list is endless.

Covid in someways has been positive for some aspects of mental health it has certainly raised awareness of anxiety, depression and suicide which has seen the introduction of more support groups, it has seen more funding offered to help support communities BUT unfortunately it has failed to remove the stigma attached to some mental health illnesses and some areas of much needed support have not improved.

Our aim is to introduce support groups specific to topic of need to our people.
